Located at the backyard of Huangge Garden in Jianshui, the pagoda is also known as Wenchang Pagoda and Wenfeng Pagoda. Built in the thirteenth century during the Yuan Dynasty, the pagoda underwent several repairs in the Ming and Qing dynasties, but it retains the Yuan style and some original component parts. This square, multi-eave, brick structure has thirteen storeys. The base of the pagoda is formed by a huge Sumeru pedestal of four layers, making it look solid and majestic. The main body tapers sharply and the whole pagoda is elegant. Crowned by a square pavilion on top, it is another example seldom seen among Yuan Dynasty pagodas.
