Baofu Temple Pagoda in Shicheng of Jiangxi Province
It took nine years beginning from 1102 during the Northern Song Dynasty to construct the pagoda. It is a hexagonal, seven-storeyed, mixed structure of brick and wood. Inside the pagoda there is a spiral staircase leading to the top level. The balconies and balustrades on every storey enable the visitors to view the scenery around the pagoda. The present pagoda retains its original body built in the Northern Song Dynasty, with its decayed eaves, balconies and balustrades repaired in 1992 according to the original style.
