More High-quality Proposals Put Forward
More improved proposals, criticisms and suggestions have been put forward to the deputies of the Fifth Plenary Session of Ninth Jiangsu People's Congress (JPC) and members of the Fifth Plenary Session of Eighth Jiangsu People's Political Consultative Conference (JPPCC) compared with last year.

Altogether 122 proposals and 282 suggestions or criticisms about work in different fields on the JPC have been submitted. The JPPCC have received 170 proposals up to now.

All of the proposals, suggestions and criticisms will be considered, discussed and dealt with by departments concerned.

The JPC deputies and JPPCC members attach importance to environment protection and cities' construction planning.

Zhou Kan and other nine deputies jointly asked the JPC to legislate strict laws to prevent rivers from being polluted.

On the part of JPPCC, Jiangsu Jiusan Society advanced the proposal of building the new pattern of rural hygiene service systems.

The vice-director of the Jiangsu Bureau Health Tang Weixin indicated that the government had already done a lot for rural hygiene and would spare no efforts to make further achievements.

What's more, JPC deputies and JPPCC members are concerned about people's lives.

JPPCC member Su Huixin proposed to improve and perfect the price-deciding hearings system.

She said evidence produced at hearings should be reported by newspapers and should be broadcasted live by the TV station; the media should timely publicize the reasons for adjusting the prices, so that people can understand.

Jiangsu Jiusan Society and other organizations have put forward several proposals concerning food security, including examining the content of residual agricultural chemicals in food and guaranteeing both the quality and safety of food products.
