According to the US’s biggest e-business website, aaaoe.com, state, county and city governments from the United States will participate in the 2008 American Enterprises Sourcing Fair, organized by American International Trade Center Corp, on October 8 to procure their products in China.
The move aims to bypass intermediary agencies and reduce the procurement prices to the lowest to cut down government budget cost.
American enterprises joining this year’s delegation must secure products worth over US$10 million a year from their Chinese suppliers.
In order to facilitate a business match, over 100 sourcing enterprises from the US will attend the fair. Chinese suppliers are limited to 200.
