China Shenhua Energy Co's coal production rose 18 percent to 13.5 million tons last month on a yearly basis, the nation's top producer of the fuel reported late on Monday.
Coal sales gained 32 percent to 18.9 million tons, of which 1.9 million tons were exported, down five percent, the company said in a statement filed with the Hong Kong stock exchange. The firm, which also operates power plants, said electricity generation rose 34 percent to 6.16 million megawatt-hours in September.
