The State Administration of Press and Publication of China has launched a course for Nepali translators in Beijing.
Trainees are mainly Nepalese publishers, journalists and students studying in China. Editors from Chinese publishing houses and workers with Nepali language skills can also take the course free of charge.
They had training in cultural exchange between China and Nepal, Chinese tradition and culture, South Asian culture, and will also make study tours in selected publishing houses in Beijing.
The course is part of a project to train translators in minor Asian languages to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and countries along the Silk Road.
