The spirit of Yan'an
Sacred to China's revolution, Yan'an was where the first generation of Chinese revolutionaries, led by Mao Zedong, worked from 1936 to 1948. At a critical juncture, with Yan'an as the headquarters of the revolution, they led the people to rescue the nation from defeat and achieve liberation. This was when the "Yan'an spirit" was formed.
In this spirit, they shed dogma and forged a sound political direction, emphasized self-reliance, hardworking in arduous conditions, and service to the people.
延安精神
延安是中国革命的圣地。20世纪30年代后期至40年代末,以毛泽东为代表的中国老一辈无产阶级革命家,在此艰苦奋斗了13个春秋(1936年至1948年)。他们以延安为中国革命的总指挥部,完成了拯救民族危亡和争取人民解放的历史使命,培育和铸造了延安精神。这一精神的主要内涵包括:坚定正确的政治方向,解放思想、实事求是的思想路线,全心全意为人民服务的根本宗旨,自力更生、艰苦奋斗的创业精神。延安精神培育了一代代中国共产党人,是党的优良传统和作风的集中体现。
