A symposium on the "Keywords to Understand China" booklet was held Friday in Frankfurt, Germany. More than 40 experts and scholars from China and Germany joined discussions about cultural exchange and dialogue between the two countries.

Lu Cairong, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said in a speech via video that the event was an important move to promote exchange and mutual learning among civilizations and implement the Global Civilization Initiative. He said the booklet "Keywords to Understand China: Chinese Philosophy" is a useful medium for sharing the wisdom of the Chinese nation and building a bridge for German people to understand Chinese culture and civilization.

Lu also emphasized that CICG will strengthen communication and cooperation with the German side and contribute more to promoting China-Germany dialogue and mutual learning and building a community with a shared future for humanity.
The booklet has selected 80 keyword entries to present China's philosophy and classical allusions behind contemporary governance.
The event is the first stop in CICG's global campaign to present the "Keywords to Understand China" booklet series. It was organized by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies under the guidance of CICG and the Chinese Consulate General in Frankfurt.
