Mount Huangshan

Mount Huangshan, also known as Yishan in ancient times, is a famous mountain range located in the southern part of Anhui Province. It spans about 40 kilometers from north to south and 30 kilometers from east to west, with 88 peaks over 1,000 meters high, including the Lotus Peak, the Bright Summit, and the Tiandu Peak, all with an altitude exceeding 1,800 meters. Mount Huangshan is renowned for its unique pine trees, peculiar rocks, sea of clouds, hot springs, and winter snow, earning it the reputation as the "No.1 fantastic mountain in the world". Its most famous attraction is the Welcome Pine, which represents hospitality in Eastern culture.

Mount Huangshan boasts a rich blend of natural beauty and cultural significance, with forest coverage reaching 84.7% and an abundance of cultural elements such as ancient trails, couplets, bridges, pavilions, temples, and pagodas. As an ancient saying goes, "Once you have visited the five sacred mountains of China, there is no need to visit any other mountain; and once you have seen Mount Huangshan, there is no need to see any of the other four sacred mountains". This highlights the unparalleled beauty of Mount Huangshan. Men of letters and artists used to be drawn to the mountain to find inspiration to create original works of calligraphy, painting, and poetry In 1990, Mount Huangshan was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural and natural site, and in 2004, it was declared as a UNESCO Global Geopark.

黄山

中国名山黄山古称黟山,位于安徽省南部,南北长约40千米,东西宽约30千米。黄山境内有千米以上高峰88 座,其中莲花峰、光明顶、天都峰为三大主峰,海拔均超过1800米。黄山以奇松、怪石、云海、温泉、冬雪著称于世,被誉为"天下第一奇山",其中最著名的是黄山迎客松,展现着东方礼仪文化。

黄山拥有丰富的自然景观和人文景观,境内森林覆盖率达84.7%,富集着古蹬道、古楹联、古桥、古亭、古寺、古塔等文化遗存,享有"五岳归来不看山,黄山归来不看岳" 的美誉。中国历代文人雅士热衷于游历黄山,以黄山为灵感来源,留下众多摩崖石刻和文学书画作品。1990年,黄山列入联合国教科文组织世界文化与自然遗产名录。2004 年,黄山被联合国教科文组织公布为世界地质公园。
