CPPCC Members
The National Committee of the CPPCC is composed of representatives from the CPC and other political parties, prominent individuals without party affiliation, people’s organizations, ethnic minority groups, compatriots in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan, returned overseas Chinese, and other sectors of society, as well as specially invited individuals. They are divided into a number of participating sectors.
The compositions of the local committees are modeled on the National Committee in line with local conditions.
The members of the CPPCC National Committee are decided by the Standing Committee after certain procedures. Likewise, those of the local committees are decided by the standing committees of the local committees. These members have the right to vote and stand for election at their meetings and the rights to voice opinions, express criticism, and make proposals to their committees.
政协委员
中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会由中国共产党、各民主党派、无党派人士、人民团体、各少数民族和各界的代表，香港特别行政区同胞、澳门特别行政区同胞、台湾同胞和归国侨胞的代表以及特别邀请的人士组成，设若干界别。中国人民政治协商会议地方委员会的组成，根据当地情况，参照全国委员会的组成决定。
中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会委员经相关程序后，须由中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会常务委员会协商决定。地方委员会委员经相关程序后，须由各级地方委员会常务委员会协商决定。全国政协委员和地方政协委员在本会会议上有表决权、选举权和被选举权；有对本会工作提出意见、批评、建议的权利。
