A spokesman for the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said Sunday discussions of 34 delegations will be open to media.

The discussions on the political report to the congress will be open to journalists at designated period of time, said spokesman Li Dongsheng at a press briefing.

Journalists are welcomed to listen to the discussions, and question and answer sessions would also be arranged, Li said.

There are 38 delegations to the five-yearly congress, which is to open on Monday and will last to next Sunday.
