A Chinese cultural festival has opened in Kenya's coastal city Mombasa, with the "Beautiful China" photo exhibition as a prelude.

The week-long festival will also include movie shows, a Chinese food festival and traditional dances and songs.

The Chinese Cultural Festival is to enhance the mutual understanding between Chinese and Kenyan peoples and deepen their friendship.
