National Noted Waxwork Figures Exhibited
A first batch of 35 life-like statues of the most popular figures in China's modern history have been presented to the public.

Visitors to the state-level China Wax Museum, the largest of its kind in the country, will be able to look at with reverence the vivid images of former outstanding leaders like Mao Zedong, Dr.Sun Yat-sen and Liu Shaoqi, and heroic revolutionary martyrs like Li Dazhao, Fang Zhimin, Xiang Jingyu and Liu Hulan during China's pre-liberation revolutionary war years.

Parts of the museum are still under construction and, when the entire project is completed in 2007, some 300 to 400 waxwork figures are expected to be on display.
