The Television Network of Spain (RTVE) and China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television signed a cooperation agreement on Wednesday for radio and television.
The state-run RTVE General Director, Jose Sanchez, and China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television Vice Minister, Hu Zhanfan, signed the agreement in Madrid.
Under the agreement, there will be program exchanges and co-productions between the two parties over the next two years, and technical and institutional cooperation will also be taken into consideration, RTVE said in a communique.
The parties will present the reality of both countries and drive the co-production of radio and television programs, including documentaries and series that reflect the traditions and cultures of both countries, said the agreement.
The RTVE will broadcast Chinese public radio and television programs or special events on occasion of China's National Day, and vice versa.
Thanks to their international channels, both organizations would no longer be limited to their geographic areas and could reach almost the whole world, said Sanchez.
