Beijing 2008 Olympics: Designs of Shooting Range, Velodrome Unveiled
More blueprints for venues of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games have been unveiled. The expert panel of the organizing committee has made their decision for Beijing's shooting range and velodrome.

The panel says the Beijing Olympiad's shooting range will be largely based on the designs by China's Tsinghua University and Australia's OSA Architect Agency.

The panel has rated the designs as excellent. The plans provided by Guangdong's Architect Academy and Germany's Schumann Architects Association were picked for Beijing's velodrome.

Both sites will be located on the west of the city. Together with the National Stadium and the National Swimming Center, the construction of the two venues will start late this year.
