Pink Ladies, a fashionable TV series which hit Beijing last month has become extremely popular in the capital thanks to its addictive plot and actors' dazzling performance. It seems that actress Chen Hao, who stars a smart, attractive girl, became an overnight star. On Sunday, she took part in a book-selling promotion in downtown Beijing.
With the long queues of hysterical young people each clutching a pink-covered book, and the blinding light show, the Wangfujing Bookstore in downtown Beijing looked like a very different place on Sunday.
A promotion of a book, an adaptation from the popular TV series Pink Ladies was going on. In a delicate light purple dress, one of the main actors, Chen Hao sat among her fans, signing her autograph on their books.
She says she didn't expect so many people to turn up at the bookstore to see her. She was touched by the passionate fans.
The modern TV series has elevated this young actress to the dizzy heights of fame. Many people have fallen in love with the beautiful young actress.
Most of people at the promotion were very young. They all like the role Chen Hao plays in "Pink Ladies", saying that it embodies the confidence, intelligence and beauty of modern women.
The 14-year-old girl says she likes Chen Hao very much and will continue to support her.
