A total of 132 cultural relics have been donated to the Museum of Tibet by the Buddhist Association of China's Tibet Branch.
They include statues of historical celebrities, Thangkas, traditional Tibetan Buddhist scroll paintings, religious ritual utensils and handicraft unique to ethnic nationalities, including 38 cultural relics enjoying second and third-class state protection.
Covering an area of 53,000 sq m, the Museum of Tibet houses over 2,000 cultural relics featuring subjects ranging from prehistory, Tibet's links to China, culture, arts, folk customs, to religion.
