China's largest cartoon exhibitionis due for August 2 - 17 at the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the Chinese commercial center, the Wenhui Daily based in Shanghai reported on Tuesday.
The exhibition will comprise eight sub-exhibition halls, including a cartoon masters' hall where renowned cartoonists from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore and the Republic of Korea will meet readers and give signatures.
About 30,000 cartoon books published around the world will be on display during the exhibition, reflecting the new trends of international cartoon arts, the organizing committee said.
Besides paper manuscripts of cartoon books, manuscripts drawn by computer software will also be shown to the public, including some which are popular with Chinese cartoon fans, the newspaper said.
