A photo show marking the 300th anniversary of Russia's historical city of Saint Petersburg and reviewing Sino-Russian friendly communications opened in Beijing Tuesday.

The photo show was the prelude to the fifth session of the China-Russia Friendship Committee for Peace and Development to be held in Beijing on Sept. 10.

About 120 photos were on show, including city scenes of Saint Petersburg taken by a young Chinese college teacher Zhang Tao and a group of pictures recording the increasing bilateral exchanges between China and Russia in recent years.
