Chinese, Overseas Journalists Share Moon Cakes

The Chinese are sharing their traditional Mid-Autumn Festival with foreigners living and working in China. Overseas journalists based in Beijing joined their local counterparts in a merry celebration at Beijing's Media Center on the night of September 9.

Nearly 500 journalists from home and abroad got together to celebrate this traditional festival for family reunions. They danced, sang and performed short sketches to mark the first Mid-Autumn Festival after SARS.

Mao Dahai from Bangladesh has already spent six Mid-Autumn festivals in China. This time he's more excited than ever and interpreted a Chinese song for the audience.

Mao Dahai, journalist of China Radio International, said: "Best wishes to all Chinese friends for the Mid-Autumn Festival."

The international audience was also treated to wonderful performances by Peking Opera master Yu Kuizhi and famous singers Lu Jihong and Chen Sisi.
