Mongolian Story Reaches out to Zhuang People

The dance drama Eji was a top winner at this year's National Lotus Dance Awards. And now, the distinctive prairie style from Inner Mongolia is making a big impression on another ethnic group in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The Baotou Song and Dance Troupe presented their award-winning dance drama to a full house Monday night in Fanggang City.

Eji means Mother in Mongolian. The drama tells a touching story of a big-hearted Inner Mongolian couple who raise five orphans through difficult times.

The ethnic Mongolian production walked away with the Best Actress and the Bronze Awards earlier this month at the "Lotus Award", the country's top dance honor.
