Bing Xin Museum Receives Author's Household Estate

The museum dedicated to one of China's most famous 20th century authors -- the Bing Xin museum, in the southeast province of Fujian -- has received new additions to its already impressive collection. Bing Xin's family donated the contents of the late author's last house to the museum on Sunday.

The large collection includes some 8,000 books, different versions of the author's publications, autographed books given to her by famous Chinese and foreign authors, the author's scripts and some diaries and journals that have never been published. Clothes and house wares were also included.

Bing Xin was China's most renowned and beloved author of the 20th century. The Fujian local died in 1999 at the age of 99.
