Chinese martial arts action star Jackie Chan promoted his own garment line "JC Collection" in Beijing Friday, as a start in entering the Chinese mainland market.
"I would like to develop a fashion brand for all Chinese and bring it to the world stage," said the 50-year-old Hong Kong movie star.
Chan has long been a hot action movie star in both Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. He has done a good job in bringing Hong Kong movies to Hollywood and developed his own career quite successfully there.
His movies Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon did very well at the box office in the United States.
Chan's garment collection carries a label with a logo comprising a Chinese graphic of the dragon and the English word Jackie.
In Friday's promotion, Jackie held an informal fashion show for his collection, modeling the line himself.
