After winning world fame in France and the United States, renowned Chinese writer Yu Hua has had a collection of his works published.
Yu's general anthology collects in one book all his works published separately before, including the novel To Live, the film based on which won three awards including for Best Actor at the Cannes film festival in 1994.
Yu's book is available at the on-going 14th National Book Fair that will close on May 22 in Guilin in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China, according to the Shanghai Literature and Arts Publishing House, the book's publisher.
Yu is prominent among contemporary Chinese writers. Recently his novel Xu Sanguan Selling Blood was granted the Barnes & Noble Discovery Great New Writers Award in the United States, and another novel Whoop in Drizzle received the Medal of Knight of Arts and Literature by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
The book includes Yu's three novels, four medium-length novels and three collections of essays.
