China and Canada will open up a new market on personnel training, with a project kicked off with the signing of a memorandum in Beijing Friday, said an official with the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE).
The memorandum was signed between the China Scholarship Council (CSC) under the MOE, and the Canada International Management Institute (CIMI).
The project, supervised by a special administrative office, will include a series of national-level cooperation on setting up international schools and courses, which will enable more Chinese students to have preliminary courses before they enter Canadian universities, or transfer to Canadian schools without completing academic credits in China.
Besides, the two sides will jointly develop training programs in some universities in Canada to train high-level businessmen and management staff.
Li Wangrong, secretary-general of the CSC, believed that the project will help strengthen the governmental supervision on overseas study service, thus to improve the quality of the service.
