The Sino-ROK Economic, Technological and Cultural Exchange Center was inaugurated Saturday in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.
The Sino-ROK Mansion was also inaugurated in Shenyang on Saturday. The two projects will serve as a link for political, economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries, said a local trade official.
The exchange center covers 40,000 square meters at the Shenyang Financial and Trade Development Zone. It comprises a 6,000-sq-m exhibition center, a bank, a securities center, an office zone and a recreational area.
The center will be a place for regular and temporary meetings between officials of the two countries, exhibitions, and cultural activities.
Bilateral economic and cultural exchanges between China and the Republic of Korea have increased since the two countries established diplomatic ties. The governmental and non-governmental exchanges between ROK and Liaoning Province has been active.
