A two-day performance will be put up by People's Liberation Army (PLA) Art Troupe on June 23 and24 in Hong Kong, as some of the performers showed up in a press conference in Hong Kong Monday.
The performance, organized by Hong Kong Culture & Art Foundation and Hong Kong United Arts Entertainment Co. Ltd., is going to be held in celebration of the 7th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.
A total of 400 artists from the PLA Art Troupe as well as 150 soldiers from the honor guard of the Chinese PLA Garrison Troops in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will be participated in the performance.
The performance will be divided into four sessions and is a blend of military and art presenting rich ethnic colors. Leader of the Troupe major general Wang Zhaohai said the performance represents a blessing to Hong Kong, wishing that people in the city prosperity and stability.
After excluding the cost, the income received in the performance through ticket-selling will be donated to the Tung WahGroup of Hospitals, a Hong Kong charity, for charitable use.
