A 21-year-old university student was detained by police for nine days and fined 400 yuan (US$51) for sending lewd mobile phone messages to his female doctor in Kaifeng, Henan Province, on Wednesday.

 

The student, Liu, visited a doctor, Bao, with a headache last week. He obtained her phone number from his prescription.

 

Liu sent over 10 lewd messages a day to Bao until she reported him to police.

 

Liu said he harassed Bao because he was dissatisfied with her diagnosis.
