The First Session of the 10th CPPCC National Committee was held in Beijing on March 3-14, 2003.

The 10th CPPCC National Committee is composed of 2,238 members in 34 groups.

The session heard, deliberated and approved a report on the work of the Standing Committee of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee and a report on the handling of proposals put forward by members of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee. The CPPCC members also attended the First Session of the 10th NPC as non-voting observers, and heard and discussed the Government Work Report and other relevant reports delivered at the NPC session. The session elected chairman, vice chairpersons, secretary general and Standing Committee members of the 10th CPPCC National Committee.
