A group of entertainers, including actors, directors and TV show hosts, visited a panda centre in southwest China's Sichuan province on Friday to give donations, the West China City News reported.

The beaming delegation included directors Lu Chuan and Zhang Yuan, crosstalk performer-turned-actor Niu Qun and TV show host Sa Beining.

While at the Bi Feng Gorge Base of China Panda-protection Research Center in Ya'an city, they were given the right to name the pandas they chose to give money to care for their well-being.

After spending a day having fun with their "children," the stars promised to make phone calls frequently and come again.
