Wong Kar-wai to take Blueberry to Suzhou
Adjust font size:

Director Wong Kar-wai will take his Cannes opening film My Blueberry Nights to Suzhou to attend the upcoming Golden Rooster Awards, which will be held next Tuesday.

The Oriental Morning Post quotes source for the organizer of the awards as saying that the director had decided to hold a press conference in Suzhou during the festival to promote his film. However, only trailer instead of the complete film will be shown.

After being displayed in this year's Cannes, the film was gradually fading out from the public. The report says that Wong Kai-wai will announce the Chinese screening date of the film when attending the awards and also other important news about the film.

The film was set to be played in Chinese theaters around Christmas season this year.

Director Wong assembled a star-heavy cast for his first English feature, including Norah Jones, Rachel Weisz, Jude Law and Natalie Portman.
