A charity party held on Saturday at Shanghai's Highstreet Loft Compound was studded with stars and super models, but no one could attract more attention than singer Chris Li Yuchun and actress Maggie Cheung.

Li's appearance on the red carpet, with a new hairstyle and smoky eyes, made fans scream her name and shout in chorus "beautiful" with their thumbs up.

Maggie Cheung and her German architect boyfriend Ole Scheeren hit the red carpet hand in hand. Sources say they have been enjoying a leisure tour of Shanghai for the past two days. "He is my partner," Maggie Cheung told a reporter in answer to his question about the status of Scheeren.
