The concert is named after an old song of Cui's from about 10 years ago called "Night of an Era."

"I wrote that song at home at the end of last century, when I felt I was a rose and the society was a knife or rock." Cui said, "I called it Night of an Era in hope of a brand new start after the night."

"2008 is the morning of this era," he said, "The Beijing Olympic Games will be a chance for everyone - idealists, realists, and speculators. Its positive influences will absolutely be more than the negative."
