Taiwan actress and singer Rene Liu attended the premiere of the drama "August Rush" as the lead singer for Taiwan's theatrical release of the Hollywood production.

At the event, Liu presented a guitar to a 9-year-old boy, a gifted guitar player.

She encouraged the boy to pursue his musical dreams, just as the main character did in the movie.

"August Rush" tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist and a sheltered young cellist who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York's Washington Square, but are soon torn apart.

In their wake, they leave an infant, August Rush, who was abandoned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York, and cared for by a mysterious stranger, August uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth.
