The Manchurian Tiger Park in Harbin is set to become China's largest habitat of the Manchurian tiger by the end of 2004.
The tiger park puts together 50 cubs of different ages and from different groups. This is to make them more accustomed to one another, and to the wilderness.
Experts say this project is of great importance to the Manchurian tigers because it diversifies the tiger tribes and enables the tigers to bear stronger cubs.
Previously only tigers of the same age and from the same groups were put together in this park.
There are only about 300 wild Manchurian tigers in the world with less than 10 in China.
