China has launched a project to monitor environmental changes occurring in China's wetlands in the Yellow River Delta National Natural Reserve. The reserve has the largest temperate-zone wetlands in China.
The project, the first of its kind in the country, has a total investment of 12 million yuan (about US$ 1.5 million).
Scientists will collect data by monitoring the landscape and species in the wetlands.
