Guangzhou flower fair, the largest in Chinese New Year history, opened Sunday with flower markets in each of its eight districts and two economic development zones.
The market displays cover a total area of 14,200 square meters with 4,528 booths, sources from the municipal government said.
Yuexiu District, where most of the foreign consulates are located, had printed a map of the markets in Chinese and English.
As the Guangzhou flower fair became more influential, many exhibitors from other provinces including Shandong, Hanan, Zhejiang, Hunan and Hainan had become involved in the fair.
