The Second China Energy-Saving Products Fair opened Thursday in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, with over 100 domestic and overseas enterprises sending in some 200 products and technologies for display, according to local sources.
A large number of energy-saving products and technologies will be put on show during the three-day fair, which include lamps, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and solar-energy communication equipment.
The energy-saving lamps on the show have caught much attention of the visitors, which can save electricity by 80 percent as compared with ordinary lamps, said a source with the fair's organizers.
Such lamps have great market potential in Zhejiang, which is expected to suffer electricity shortage totaling 8 million kw this summer, said the source.
