A strong cold front continues to move into southeast China and will lead to lower temperatures, strong winds, rain and snow over the next two to three days, said weather forecasters on Wednesday.
The week-long fog and smog enveloping central and eastern China will disappear due to the strong cold air, and the temperature will drop between six and 10 degrees Celsius, according to China's Central Meteorological Station.
Strong winds will hit parts of northeast and east China from Wednesday to Friday, and the temperature drop could be as low as 12 degrees Celsius in parts of northeast China.
Rain and snow are expected in parts of northeast, northwest and north China over the next three or four days, said the station.
