Street cleaners on Beijing's posh Wangfujing pedestrian street on Thursday began their work with bright new uniforms and equipment.

 

Each worker has been given an automatic cleaner to replace their broom, and smaller tools such as shovels were also added.

 

Claiming to be one of the busiest shopping streets in the Chinese capital, a large portion of pedestrians in Wangfujing are tourists from around the world.
