A 300-year-old banyan tree in Sanya, Hainan Province, has been replanted after it was uprooted and its crown hacked and taken away recently, reports Hainan Daily.
The tree, weighing 35 tons, had been pulled out at its roots and was lying for a week when it was found on a hill.
With the help of two 35-ton cranes, 200 people moved the tree to a park nearby and replanted it.
