Fewer than a third of Americans still support the war in Iraq, and more than half say they want US troops out of the country within a year, according to a CNN poll released Tuesday.
Support for the nearly-four-year-long war fell to a new low of 31 percent, while a record 67 percent voiced opposition, according to the poll conducted on Friday through Sunday.
Nearly three-quarters said the Bush administration's Iraq policy needed a complete overhaul or major changes.
Only 11 percent of those surveyed supported calls to send more American troops to Iraq, as President George W. Bush was said to be considering.
