South Korea had a clean sweep of softball team gold medals when its men's and women's team retained the titles at the 14th Asian Games on Thursday.
In the men's clashes, South Korean Kim Hyun-ju defeated Japan's
Miwa Tsuji in the singles before South Korea completed a rout of Japan with two doubles wins to seal the gold.
Japan had the silver and Chinese Taipei took the bronze.
While in the women's tournament, South Korea won the gold for the third consecutive time with an unbeaten record, with Japan and
Chinese Taipei finishing second and third.
