Executive Vice Minister of Health Gao Qiang told a press conference in Beijing Sunday that Beijing reports seven new confirmed cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) on Saturday, April 19, but not yet counted in the total cases of the city issued on Sunday.

Gao said the seven new cases will be announced during the daily report on Monday, April 21.

By April 18, Beijing has reported a total of 339 confirmed cases and 402 suspected cases of SARS, the Information Office of the State Council said in a press release Sunday.

Of the total, 18 patients died.

Five foreigners were diagnosed to have SARS and another four were suspected of having the disease.
