Weekly Weather Forecast (December 4-10)

Northwest China: December 4-6, northern Xinjiang and eastern parts of the region will be overcast to cloudy with possible fog while some parts will have snow showers or light to moderate snow with force 4 to 6 northerly winds and heavy snowfall in some parts. The wind force at mountain passes will be up to 7-9. After the cold front moves on a drop in temperatures will follow. December 7-10, affected by weak streams of cold air most of the region will continue to have strong winds with light to moderate snow expected in western Xinjiang and some of Qinghai Province. Some areas will see heavy snowfall.

 

North China: December 4 to 5, the majority of the region will be cloudy to overcast with fog while northeastern sections of Inner Mongolia will receive snow showers or light snow. December 6, most parts will be cloudy to sunny with force 4 to 5 northerly winds. December 7, most parts will continue to be cloudy to overcast with fog. December 8 to 10, most parts will blow force 4 northerly winds with lower temperatures while northeastern Inner Mongolia will be overcast with snow showers.

 

Northeast China: December 4-5, most of the region will be cloudy to overcast with fog while some of northernmost and western areas will encounter snow showers or light snow. December 6-7, most parts will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds with low temperatures. December 8-9 most areas will be cloudy to sunny with force 4 to 5 northerly winds. December 10, the region will see more cloudy skies with morning fogs while some northwestern parts snow showers will appear.

 

Central China: December 4-5, the majority of the region will be dominated by cloudy and foggy weather while some western parts will have rain or snow. December 6-7, most areas will be overcast with rain or snow showers or light to moderate rain. Some parts will receive heavy rain with force 4 northerly winds in northern parts as well colder temperatures. December 8-10, central and southern parts will be overcast with light to moderate rain or sleet. Central and northern areas will blow force 4 to 5 northerly winds and temperatures will drop.

 

East China: December 4-5, most parts will be cloudy to sunny with fog and warmer temperatures. December 6-8, most parts will be overcast with rain or snow or light to moderate rain or snow. Some areas will encounter heavy rain with possible fog in some places accompanied by force 4 to 5 northerly winds and low temperatures in central and northern parts. December 9-10, areas south of the Yellow-Huaihe Rivers will continue to have light to moderate rain or snow or sleet. Central and northern parts will continue to encounter force 4 northerly winds with temperatures dropping.

 

South China: December 4-5, most parts will be cloudy with morning fog and higher temperatures. December 6-8, most regions will be overcast to cloudy with rain showers or light to moderate rain while some areas in northern regions will experience heavy rainfall. December 9-10, most regions will continue to have cloudy to sunny weather with showers or thundershowers in some places.  

 

Southwest China: During the week most regions will have frequent overcast and rainy days with fog expected in eastern Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou. December 4-5, eastern sections of the region will have showers or light to moderate rain. December 6-8, most of Tibet and eastern sections will be overcast with light to moderate rain or snow while some of Guizhou Province will have heavy rainfall. December 9-10, most of Tibet and southeastern areas will continue to be dominated by overcast to cloudy skies accompanied by rain or snow showers or light to moderate rain or snowfall in some areas. Temperatures in eastern Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou will continue to fall.
