Weekly Weather Forecast (February 26 to March 4)

Northwest China: February 26 to 27, most parts will be mainly cloudy with light snow expected in some eastern parts and Qinghai Province, while western and northern Xinjiang will receive snow or rain showers accompanied by force 4 to 6 northerly winds. February 28 to March 3, eastern parts will be overcast with light to moderate rain or snow with heavy snowfall in some of Qinghai Province. Xinjiang and some western parts will feel the wind-chill factor from force 4 to 6 northerly winds or sandy winds. March 4, eastern parts will be dominated by cloudy skies with light rain shower or snow showers possible in some areas.

 

North China: February 26 to 27, the region will be dominated by cloudy weather with morning fog and force 4 southerly winds. February 28 to March 2, western and southern parts and middle, northern Inner Mongolia will meet rain (snow) showers or light rainfall with temperature droping in most parts of the region. March 3 to 4, middle and southern parts will be overcast with light rain or snow, while middle and northernmost parts will have force 4 northerly winds.

 

Northeast China: During the week, the majority of the region will be dominated by sunny to cloudy weather. Little precipitation is expected during the earlier half of the week with mild winds and minor temperature changes. February 28 to March 2, most parts will be sunny to cloudy. March 3 to 4, affected by streams of cold air, the majority of the region will have force 4 to 5 northerly winds with cold weather.

 

Central China: During the week, the region will see more overcast and rainy days with 3-4 fog or haze days. February 26 to 28, most sections will be overcast with light to moderate rain, snow or thundershowers, while some of western and northern Hunan, Hubei and southern Henan will meet heavy rainfall with a drop in temperature. March 1 to 2, most sections will continue to be dominated by overcast and rainy weather with moderate rain expected in some places. March 3 to 4, middle and northern parts will be cloudy to sunny with force 4 northerly winds, while southern sections will be overcast with light rain.

 

East China: During the week, the region will have frequent overcast and rainy days, probably seeing 5-7 continuous fog or haze days. February 26 to 28, most sections of the region will be cloudy to overcast with rain showers in some areas. March 1 to 3, most parts will be overcast with light to moderate rain, snow or thundershowers. Heavy rainfall is expected in areas of the Yellow-Huaihe rivers and the Yangtze-Huaihe rivers. March 4, most parts will be cloudy to sunny with showers expected in some of southern sections, while areas north of the Yangtze River will have force 4 northerly winds.

 

South China: February 26 to 28, most of the region will be cloudy to overcast with rain showers or light rain and possible fog or haze expected in some areas. March 1 to 4, most parts will continue to be overcast with light rainfall while some of western and northern sections will experience moderate rain. Within the week, no great temperature change is expected in the region.

 

Southwest China: February 26 to 28, eastern Tibet and eastern sections of the region will be overcast with light to moderate rain, while eastern Sichuan Province and Chongqing will have fog. March 1 to 4, eastern sections and most Tibet will continue to be overcast with light rain or snow, while some of Guizhou Province and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau will receive moderate rainfall.
