Hire a Housemaid for Honeymoon
Adjust font size:

According to Shanghai Morning Post, "honeymoon housemaid" is prevailing now in Shanghai to provide all kinds of service especially for newly-weds.

Miss Xu and Mr. He in Pudong district got married not long ago. As both had no experience in housework, they hired a "honeymoon housemaid" to teach them cooking, washing, and cleaning.

"We know nothing about housework. The food we cook is either rather salty or tasteless. Besides, we are very busy on working and have no time to participate in cooking training classes, so we want a housemaid," said Miss Xu.

She added they have become skillful in cooking some dishes now and grasped many living tricks since the housemaid came.

Mr. He said the housemaid has also helped them a lot in improving the relationship between himself and his wife. "Sometimes when we quarrel over some trifles, the housemaid will be the one to mediate our disputes. We are pretty grateful to her," he said.

Ms. Zhao, a "honeymoon housemaid" from Shandong province, said, "It is lucky to be chosen by a newly wedded couple. It is inevitable for the new couple to have some quarrels, and I am glad to be a 'mediator' when this occurs."

"Honeymoon housemaids" are normally aged between 25 and 40. The average salary for a resident housemaid is from 1,500 yuan to 2,000 yuan per month. People normally welcome the housemaids with out-going characteristics, excellent cooking skills, and some other talents.
