Australian Movies Hit Shanghai

A little bit of 'Down Under' will hit Shanghai next month with the launch of the Australian Film Festival.

The Australian Consulate General in Shanghai will present nine Australian films during the ten-day festival; including Looking for Alibrandi, Lantana, Ned Kelly, The Dish, Amy, The Man Who Sued God, Siam Sunset, Black and White and Two Hands.

Actress Pia Miranda will be in Shanghai to present her award-winning film, Looking for Alibrandi, at the official Opening Night Gala of the Film Festival on 10 November.

These films showcase Australia's vibrant and innovative film industry as well as some of its best filmmaking and acting talent.

It's hoped that the Festival, which is sponsored by the ANZ Bank, will lead to many more Australian films being shown at cinemas throughout China.
