Chinese movie, South of the Clouds, directed by Zhu Wen, has premiered at the 5th Tokyo Filmex 2004, or the Ginza Film Festival, on Sunday night.
The film's director Zhu Wen and photographer Wang Min showed up at the annual event, which was opened Saturday with the screening of renowned Japanese director Shiota Akihiko's latest hit, Canary.
South Korean star Mun So-Ri was also invited to sit on the judge panel at the annual festival.
The 5th Tokyo Filmex includes 3 Grand Awards, for which the winning film directors will receive 1 million yen, as well as a Special Jury Award, or Kodak Vision Award, for which the winning film's director will receive 500 thousand yen.
This year's festival features 10 new films from the best emerging filmmakers in Asia during 2003 and 2004.
