Baby, a new film cooperated by Jackie Chan and Hong Kong director Benny Chan after New Police Story, began shooting in Hong Kong on Thursday.
The film, at cost of 130 million Hong Kong dollars and produced by Huayi Brothers & Taihe Film Investment Co, Ltd. and JCE Movies Ltd., is expected to finish shooting in March 2006 and be released publicly in October, according to a source with Huayi.
Jackie Chan acts as a thief indulging himself in gambling in Baby, which features a battle between a thief gang and sinister gang.
A new cast, including Hong Kong star Michael Hui, Louis Koo andCharlene Choi, mainland starlet Gao Yuanyuan and Zhang Tielin, a Chinese British veteran actor, will work with Jackie, the source said.
